Herts and Bucks hub-led event: Improving Oracy

Herts and Bucks hub is hosting a CPD event focused around oracy. The event will cover how to introduce and implement a whole-school oracy policy, and how to use oracy to improve SMSC. Workshops will also illustrate oracy techniques in the classroom, including Let’s Think in English (LTE), a teaching programme which helps primary and secondary pupils develop the higher-order skills needed for success in English. LTE is one of the cognitive acceleration programmes developed at King’s College London.

Who is it for? Heads of Department, T&L Leads, Literacy Reps and Assistant Headteachers

The session will be led by Nicola Spencer (Oracy and Literacy Co-ordinator, St Clement Danes) who has been working on the LTE programme and Mike Garvey (Assistant Headteacher, T&L, St Clement Danes).
