Drawing on lessons from psychology and economics to help drive positive behaviour changes, Lal explored ways to make communications easy, attractive, social and timely.
He shared an example of an EEF-funded programme showed how keeping parents informed when tests were coming up helped improve pupils' test scores.
Another randomised control trial showed the value of motivational messages sent to learners.
