Cheam Common becomes EdTech demonstrator school

24 April 2020

Our partner school Cheam Common Junior Academy has been named one of 20 EdTech demonstrator schools across England, after showing excellence in their use of technology.

The award, by the Department for Education, means the school will now offer peer-led support and guidance to other schools, with support from other members of LEO Academy Trust.

Advice and training will be available to some schools and colleges across the country which are most in need of support, for example those which have recently deployed a new online learning platform and those with the most disadvantaged learners.

The programme was established before the coronavirus disruption, but given the rapid transition to online learning a new round of applications to become an EdTech demonstrator has now been opened.

Find out more about how to access support here or apply to be a demonstator school or college here (the closing date for the latter is 29 April).
